(2/13/2012) StingRay Optics Sponsors Image Gallery at SPIE DSS 2012

(Baltimore, MD) Building on the success of last year's Imaging Gallery, StingRay Optics is asking any and all members of the imaging technology community to send us your images to be displayed on the showroom floor at SPIE DSS 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland! This is your chance to show off your creative side to over 6,000 industry peers! Images can be visible, SWIR, MWIR or LWIR. (1/13/2012) StingRay Optics Welcomes New Office Manager, Diana Rokes!

(Keene, NH) Diana Rokes joins the StingRay team in January 2012 as our new Office Manager! With over twenty years of management and accounting experience, she certainly brings a host of new talents to StingRay Optics! Diana is a graduate of Keene State College, where she earned her B.S in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting, as well as an A.S. in Computer Science. When she is not bringing order to the office, Diana enjoys cake decorating, snowmobiling and spending time with her family!

(12/12/2011) A Magical StingRay Holiday Party!

(Westmoreland, NH) After working hard all week, the StingRay Team, joined by family and friends, gathered at The Summit Steakhouse & Tavern for their annual Holiday Party! As delicious appetizers were munched on, and festive beverages poured, StingRay President, Christopher Alexay, surprised the crowd with a special guest entertainer, magician Jason Purdy!

After being dazzled by disappearing doves, mind-bending card tricks and lively comedy, the crew dined on succulent steaks and seafood beside a roaring fireplace. The evening concluded with a spirited yankee swap, with the most popular swap item being a "Red Rider" BB Gun, a la "A Christmas Story"!

(10/19/2011) StingRay Optics Prepares for PumpkinFest!

(Keene, NH) The StingRay Optics team, along with family and friends, tricked-and-treated their way into the Halloween spirit on Wednesday! Armed with pumpkin knives, scoops and power tools, the candy-fueled crew turned sixteen ordinary pumpkins into a marvelous jack-o-lantern display (seen above in LWIR)! The jack-o-lanterns will be on display this weekend at the 21st annual Keene Pumkin Festival; an annual celebration that fills Keene, New Hampshire with thousands of lit pumpkins every year! (9/18/2011) StingRay Optics' President Judges Chili for Charity

(Walpole, NH) StingRay Optic's President and Chief Optical Designer, Christopher Alexay, rolled up his sleeves and put his tastebuds to work as a guest judge for the 3rd annual Walk for Greyhounds Chili Cookoff. The annual fundraiser, held at Alyson's Orchard, benefits Fast Friends Greyhound Resuce, a NH-based non-profit that has been helping dogs find forever homes since 1992. Also joining Christopher at the event was his dog, UnderDog, and Sales and Marketing manager Jennifer Myers, who enjoyed the festivities with her dog, Deuce! (7/22/2011) Lobsterfest Hits StingRay Optics!

The entire StingRay staff gathered together to celebrate summer, and the birthday of Sales and Marketing Manager Jennifer Myers, on Friday, July 22! The lobster was sweet, the watermelon was cool and the temperatures outside of our facility soared well into the upper 90's! Also making an appearance at the event was the newly updated StingRay baseball cap. All those who attended agreed that the food fell into the delicious end of the spectrum!

StingRay Optics at 2011 SPIE DSS Show in April

Thank you to everyone that visited our booth during the exhibition, participated in the SuperBand technical presentation or product demonstration or submitted images for the Imaging Gallery at last week's SPIE DSS Conference and Exhibit in Orlando, Florida. We always appreciate the opportunity to meet face to face with end-users of optical systems at industry events like SPIE. We look forward to seeing everyone next year in Baltimore for SPIE DSS 2012.

(4/12/11) StingRay Sponsors the 8th Annual Running of the Keene-Tucky Derby Benefit

On Saturday, May 7th, the horses will be running in Keene (magnetic horses, that is)! The Keene-Tucky Derby, held at 7:00pm at the Keene Country Club, is an annual benefit for the Cedarcrest Center for Children with Disabilities. This night of fun and excitement will be filled with horse races, southern fare and potables, charity auctions, dancing, and even a classic hat parade!
